In this video discusses the Experimental Process or otherwise known as the testing part of the scientific method. The process of science is the scientific method but truly the most important step is the testing or experimenting. The experimental process is what makes the scientific study different from other disciplines. If you are doing science right you are collecting and providing proof of your ideas. You need to design a step by step experiment, determine the independent variable, the dependent variables and devise a method to properly collect data. Then and only then, you can truly analyze your work.

There are two basics forms of data: qualitative and quantitative. Both types of data are needed but quantitative is going to be the most reliable information. Qualitative data will help tell the story in your conclusion but many times it will be vague or ambiguous. Quantitative data, on the other hand, is based on numbers and measurements. So, it will much more reliable assuming the person recording the data is competent.
