The research of the department of Thin Film Technology at TNO in Eindhoven (The Netherlands) focuses on CIGS thin film solar cells.
This new generation of solar cells has the potential to become cheaper than silicon solar cells, can be flexible and has a higher aesthetic value for architectural purposes.
