Nature of reactants: consider the following reaction AgNO3 + NaCl → AgCl + NaNO3 silver nitrate on reaction with sodium chloride gives sodium nitrate and silver chloride precipitate. The reaction is ionic. It involves exchange of ions between the reactants within very less time.
