Activity: Take some ferrous sulphate crystals in a dry boiling test tube. Note the green colour of the ferrous sulphate crystals. Heat the boiling tube over the flame of a burner and observe the colour of the crystals after heating?
We can observe the colour of the ferrous sulphate crystals is changed and the characteristic odour of burning sulphur is observed.
