In this video explains Mendeleev's Periodic Law and Periodic Table Based on his own chemical properties and experiments, he listed the elements in the increasing order of atomic masses and showed the periodic trends.
Mendeleev's periodic law: "The properties of the elements and their compounds are a specific function of their atomic weights".
Mendeleeff assigned each element a number called its atomic number. This number is useful to determine the position of the element in a series of increasing atomic masses. The elements are arranged in horizontal rows called "periods" and vertical columns called "groups". The first three periods of the Mendeleeff's table are called as short periods. And the other periods are known as long periods
