P - BLOCK ELEMENTS : Elements belonging to P- block have their highest P- orbitals incompletely filled. This level is progressively filled by the addition successively of electrons. Elements belonging to III A to VII A and zero group belong to P- block elements. They are placed at the extreme right of the periodic table. Boron : The name Boron comes from the Arabic and Persian words for borax, its principal ore. The pure element is shiny and black. It is very hard. The element can be prepared by the reaction of borax woth carbon. Aluminum : Aluminum ranks third on the list of the ten most abundant elements in the earth's crust, It is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity and finds use in some wiring. Aluminum is considered an active metal. It reacts rapidly with the oxygen in the air to form aluminum oxide o ralumina.
