P - BLOCK ELEMENTS : Elements belonging to P- block have their highest P- orbitals incompletely filled. This level is progressively filled by the addition successively of electrons. Elements belonging to III A to VII A and zero group belong to P- block elements. They are placed at the extreme right of the periodic table. Boron : The name Boron comes from the Arabic and Persian words for borax, its principal ore. The pure element is shiny and black. It is very hard.
